Next Steps for Accepted Students
You will be sent to a registration site where you will pay for your first subscription. The first subscription covers the first three months, or first quarter, of the program, and will grant you access to the online learning modules. Once you do this you will have officially registered for the program.
By registering, you are “affiliating”, and acknowledging your intention to complete Pathway to Practice. Your RL form can be signed when you “affiliate”
Residency License (RL) Form
Residency Licenses require that teacher candidates affiliate with an Educator Preparation Program (EPP). Pathway to Practice is the EPP.
Once you have been accepted and officially register, you are “affiliated” with Pathway to Practice and will complete an RL form with your HR representative to send to Dr. Alison Winzeler, Pathway to Practice Director.
The form will then be returned to you and the HR Specialist.
Prior to your start date
You will be sent the virtual orientation videos and your login information for the modules.
You will be introduced to your facilitator and set up a time to touch base with them and possibly other students in the program.
Starting the program
You start the modules depending on when you apply and are accepted. Start dates coincide with the beginning of the month. Therefore, if you wish to start by a certain date, you need to submit your application two months prior to that date.
Your start date will be indicated on your acceptance letter.
You may “affiliate” before your start date.
Once you begin, you are expected to make progress using the pacing guides available. You are also expected to keep your subscription current to keep your affiliation with Pathway to Practice as your EPP.
